Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Complex Environmental Manager at our Sweetwater, Texas gypsum site. You will own the development, implementation, and management of the facility's environmental compliance programs to ensure EPA and state/local regulatory adherence and alignment with GP's Environmental Performance Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Management, or Environmental Science.
• Three (3) years or more of environmental compliance and management systems experience.
• Experience with Title V air permitting program.
• Experience with TCEQ rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, implementation, and management of the facility’s environmental compliance programs.
• Lead the site's Environmental Technical Expert and GP Performance Standard Owner.
• Manage compliance of federal (EPA) and state/local environmental program requirements (air, water/wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste).
• Support and integration of the Corporate Environmental Management System into the plant’s operations plan.
• Lead environmental incident investigations, mitigation, root cause analysis, & corrective actions.
• Manage compliance calendar, coordinate activities, and prepare/submit reports to outside agencies.
