Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an Environmental Manager for our Corrigan Plywood site in Corrigan, Texas. You will lead environmental programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across air, water, waste, and related systems.

The role entails coordinating with EPA/state agencies, supervising EMS activities, and training site personnel to sustain robust environmental practices and incident response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Engineering or Natural Sciences (i.e.: Chemistry, Biology).
• Environmental compliance and management systems experience.
• Experience applying Environmental Laws and regulations in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience performing air and water field work.
• Working knowledge of Texas and federal environmental regulations including Title V.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Expert and Compliance Standard Owner for the site.
• Manage compliance with EPA and state/local environmental program requirements (air, water, stormwater, waste, SPCC, CERCLA/EPCRA, TSCA, DOT, FCC).
• Support strategic planning, track environmental performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement of the EMS.
• Train personnel and implement Georgia Pacific’s Environmental 7 Element Risk Management System.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Assist with day-to-day environmental compliance tasks and coordination with consultants.
