Job summary

Mobile Communications America in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Communication Systems Technician to install, program, and maintain wireless equipment for mission-critical customers, including public safety and utilities.

You will join a collaborative team, support 24/7 on-call operations, and travel as needed. A two-year degree in Electronics or IT is preferred, with at least two years of related experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Installing, programming, and maintaining complex communication equipment to get customers up and running.
• Fixing the system and bringing communications back online for public safety, hospitals, utilities, manufacturing, and other mission-critical customers.
• Designing and upgrading customer systems to the latest technologies and solutions.
• Collaborating with the Service Manager and the customer.
• Learning and mentoring on new technologies in communications and equipment.
• Completing assigned tickets properly and on time.
• Making minor Modifications to electronics per customer request and deploying firmware updates.
• Serving in an on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
