Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) seeks a Communication Systems Technician in the Madison, TN area to install, program, and maintain complex wireless communications equipment for mission-critical customers.

You will work with the Service Manager and customers to design and upgrade systems while staying current with new technologies. A two-year degree is preferred, and you should be prepared for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Strong customer-service mindset and team collaboration.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
• Two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or applicable subject preferred.
• P25 and/or MotoTRBO experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and maintain complex communication equipment.
• Restore systems to operation for mission-critical clients like public safety and utilities.
• Design and upgrade customer systems with latest technologies.
• Collaborate with Service Manager and customers.
• Be willing to learn new communications tech and be mentored.
• Complete tickets accurately and on time.
• Make minor modifications to circuitry and deploy firmware updates.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support.
