IES is seeking a Communications Technician I in Huntsville, AL for a full-time, direct hire role. The position involves learning and supporting a technical team to install structured cabling with safety compliance.

Typical experience ranges from none to one year in the field. Responsibilities include wiring outlets, installing closets and patch panels, fiber hardware, and terminating low-voltage devices, while completing required paperwork accurately for IES COMMERCIAL.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic construction knowledge preferred.
• Must possess and learn to effectively use the listed tools.
• Ability to meet Company minimum driving standards preferred.

Responsabilités

• Install a work area outlet for floor, modular furniture and wall outlets; drop cable down a wall.
• Build closets with racks, patch panels, fiber hardware and grounding.
• Perform fire-stopping and run cables through sleeves and core penetrations.
• Terminate low-voltage devices and complete all IES COMMERCIAL paperwork on time.
• Adhere to Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards.
