Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. in Panama City, FL is seeking a Communication Systems Technician to install, program, and maintain complex wireless equipment for mission-critical customers.

You will troubleshoot while coordinating with the Service Manager and customers, participate in on-call rotations, and adhere to safety standards. A 2+ year background in mobile communications and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Team-focused with a passion to meet customer needs.
• Strong communication skills for end users and third parties.
• Willing to learn and be mentored on new tech in communications/equipment.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
• Two-year degree in Electronics/IT preferred (not required).
• Experience with P25 and/or MotoTRBO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and maintain complex communication equipment for customers.
• Troubleshoot and bring systems back online for public safety, hospitals, utilities, and more.
• Design and upgrade customer systems with latest technologies.
• Collaborate with Service Manager and customers to complete tickets on time.
• Perform minor hardware changes and deploy firmware updates.
• Provide 27/7 technical support on on-call rotations.
• Meet safety and quality standards in all tasks.
