Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) seeks an experienced Communication Systems Technician in the Birmingham, AL area to support our Voice division.

The role involves installing, programming, and maintaining complex wireless equipment for mission-critical customers, with on-call support and potential second/third shifts depending on project needs. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of mobile comms experience, knowledge of two-way radio theory, and proficiency with testing equipment; CET

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Team-focused with a customer service mindset.
• Good communication skills for end users and third parties.
• Willing to learn two-way radio theory and new technologies.
• Ability to pass 7-year background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and maintain complex communication equipment.
• Restore systems for public safety, hospitals, utilities, etc.
• Design and upgrade customer systems.
• Collaborate with team, Service Manager, and customers.
• Complete tickets on time.
• Deploy software/firmware updates.
• Provide 27/7 on-call support.
