Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator in Michigan to operate and maintain treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment. You will monitor and adjust processes to meet permit and operational requirements, perform routine maintenance and assist in safety and housekeeping duties.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years in water/wastewater, basic math, and ability to read and follow English instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with knowledge of water/wastewater methods.
• Ability to read and comprehend English and perform basic math.
• Willingness to operate pumps, centrifuges, generators and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment processes and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and document readings and logs.
• Write work orders for major repairs and assist maintenance.
• Monitor control panels and adjust valves to regulate flow.
• Assist in lab tests and respond to on-site on-call rotations.
