Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Primary Operator to assist in planning, organizing, and managing daily wastewater system operations, maintenance, and testing. You’ll ensure safety, compliance, and environmental standards, while maintaining client relations and reporting to regulators.

The role requires leadership experience, a high school diploma, and MA Grade 6C wastewater license, with potential after-hours SCADA involvement and SOP development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three to five years progressive lead and/or supervisory experience within a related environment with thorough knowledge of industry methods, techniques, principles, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Leader in daily operation and maintenance of a wastewater system.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC, safety, environmental and performance metrics.
• Prepare reports for regulatory agencies.
• Respond to SCADA alarms after hours.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring maintenance activities.
