Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a dedicated Operator to run and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, ensuring compliance with permit and process specifications. You will monitor meters, assist in sampling, and help maintain plant integrity while supporting a collaborative operations team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to work in shifts including on-call emergencies. Training is provided for equipment operation and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years in water/wastewater or related fields preferred.
• Must read, write, and comprehend English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Willingness to operate and troubleshoot plant equipment and learn processes.
• Must be able to work in a team and be available for on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains wastewater treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment.
• Records readings from meters, gauges, and log sheets.
• Trains and directs other operators as needed.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of plant facilities and grounds.
• Assists in field tests and sampling as required.
