Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operator to maintain treatment facilities, monitor conditions, collect samples, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires reliable routine operation, safety awareness, and the ability to work in an environment with variable weather and field duties.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), plus 2–5 years in a related setting, and the ability to pass screenings and drive company

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; associate degree preferred for technical work.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally; basic math skills.
• Two to five years in a related water/wastewater role; knowledge of treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating conditions, meters and gauges.
• Collect and test water and sewage samples.
• Record meter readings and data.
• Operate equipment to purify or dispose of waste.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
• Inspect all equipment regularly.
• Follow EPA regulations and safety standards.
