Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Houston, TX is seeking a Survey CAD Technician I to assist in preparing project deliverables and contract documents per company standards and client requirements.

You will work under supervision to learn survey and mapping tasks and develop proficiency in ALTA, boundary, and topographic surveys. Responsibilities include converting notes to drawings, performing horizontal computations for boundaries, drafting house location surveys, and assisting with plot

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in survey, geography, architecture or civil engineering preferred; commensurate experience considered.
• Knowledge of ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and subdivision work.
• Familiarity with land surveying and/or surface modeling software such as Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak, Revit, or similar civil engineering design software.

Responsibilities

• Convert information into electronically generated drawings and project documents.
• Perform horizontal computations for boundary surveys and analyses.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Compute horizontal positions of plan buildings, streets, curbs for stakeouts.
• Check record plats for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Submit plots to county for review.
• Gain knowledge of ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and stakeout procedures.
• Perform complex computations for traverse, record plats, and construction stakeouts.
