Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps is hiring entry-level student success coaches to mentor students and support classrooms. You will coach and mentor students to improve academic outcomes, attendance, and behavior, while collaborating with teachers on in-class activities and student progress tracking.

The program offers 2–4 weeks of initial training, a bi-weekly living stipend, and federally-issued benefits through AmeriCorps. City Year emphasizes service and community impact across schools nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience in mentoring or tutoring is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work with diverse students and staff in an urban school setting.
• Commitment to City Year’s service requirements and guidelines.
