Job summary

IES is seeking an entry-level Technician I - Structured Cabling I to support field installations in MCCARRAN, Nevada. The role involves learning to install outlets, route and terminate cabling, build closets, and ensure proper grounding and safety procedures.

The candidate should have 0–1 year of related experience and a willingness to learn a variety of tools and techniques. Physical work in indoor/outdoor construction environments is required, along with the ability to travel within the

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalency.
0–1 year experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Basic construction industry knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Install work area outlets for floors, modular furniture, and walls.
Drop cabling with fish tape and route through furniture and walls.
Terminate low-voltage devices and perform pre-termination procedures.
Build and install racks, patch panels, grounding, and fire-stopping as required.
Adhere to company, customer and industry safety standards.
