Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Minneapolis, MN seeks an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to apply knowledge of structural materials, analysis, steel and reinforced concrete design on nuclear facility projects. You'll develop calculations, specs, and support design drawings with a multi-discipline team.

Travel to client sites may be required for reviews and field verifications. A bachelor’s or master’s in structural/civil engineering is expected with strong academic background; FE/ EIT is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Structural/Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with strong academic background in materials, structural analysis, steel and reinforced concrete design.
• FE exam or EIT is valued but not required.
• Experience with structural design codes and standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations and develop specifications.
• Support designers with drawing development and project coordination.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and supports.
• Assess loading conditions including wind and seismic for structures.
