Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Ohio is seeking a Streetlight Technician. This entry-level role requires no prior experience and includes paid on-the-job training.

The position is outdoors and offers a weekly pay schedule with tools, uniforms, and PPE provided, including hardhat and safety glasses. You will repair and maintain streetlights, operate bucket trucks and other equipment, and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient in use of voltmeter, power tools, and hand tools.
• Weather permitting, this is a 40-hour-per-week job; overtime may be required.
• Knowledge of power delivery components and safe equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Performs work from aerial devices to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment.
• Operate heavy and light construction equipment such as digger derrick trucks, bucket trucks, backhoes, air compressors, generators, and tools.
• Maneuver construction equipment safely during all functions of work.
• Excavate ground areas for setting poles or foundations.
• Keep logs of the job process and stay organized.
• Work with locating companies to identify underground hazards.
• Interpret blueprints and as-builts and execute the plan accurately.
• Maintain relationships with traffic control and utility partners.
