Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Streetlight Technician/Groundsman for an entry-level role. You will perform maintenance and installation of streetlights from aerial devices, using digger derrick trucks, bucket trucks, and hand tools, while learning safety standards on utility infrastructure.

This position is outdoor, full-time, with paid on-the-job training, a weekly pay schedule, and provided PPE and uniforms. No experience required; DOT card and driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be proficient with voltmeter, power tools and hand tools.
• Weather permitting, 40-hour per week; overtime/weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs work from aerial devices to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment.
• Operate heavy and light construction equipment such as digger derrick trucks, bucket trucks, backhoes, air compressors, generators, and all hand tools.
• Excavate ground areas for setting poles or foundations.
• Keep logs of the job process and stay organized.
• Work with locating companies to identify underground hazards.
• Read construction plans and execute the plan accurately.
