Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Streetlight Technician in North Carolina for an entry-level position. No prior experience is required; the company provides paid on-the-job training and a weekly pay schedule.

The role is outdoors, with all tools, uniforms, and PPE provided, including hardhat and safety gear. The technician will repair and maintain streetlights, manage equipment and company vehicles, and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficient with voltmeter, power tools, and hand tools.
• Weather-permitting, 40-hour work week; overtime possible.

Responsibilities

• Perform work from aerial devices to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment.
• Operate heavy and light construction equipment such as digger derrick trucks, bucket trucks, backhoes, air compressors, generators, and hand tools.
• Maneuver construction equipment safely during all functions of work.
• Excavate ground areas for setting poles or foundations.
• Keep accurate logs of the job process and stay organized.
• Coordinate with locating companies to identify underground hazards.
• Interpret construction plans and blueprints and execute the plan accordingly.
• Maintain good relationships with traffic control and utility partners.
• Communicate with management about all job functions.
• Work safely near energized equipment and assist with emergency jobs.
