Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Solar Technician I to support O&M at the Ray Ranch Solar Site in Goliad, TX. You will perform entry-level technical tasks, troubleshoot PV inverters and solar panels, and manage work orders using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP.

The role requires living within 80 miles of the site and participating in on-call rotations. You will complete safety and competency tests, follow LOTO procedures, and assist in site safety orientations while traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma/certification in electrical theory; 2 years solar/wind site experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and operate industrial electrical equipment.
• Willingness for on-call, night shifts, and local travel within 80 miles.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems.
• Operate standard hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Create and close-out work orders in Maximo.
• Conduct site safety orientations and escort OEMs/ISP staff to ensure safety standards.
