Job summary

Serco is seeking Shipyard Laborers to join a high-profile project supporting the US Navy. The role involves general manual labor and assisting with C5ISR system installations aboard naval ships and military facilities.

You will work on a team, with supervision, and be able to obtain a Secret clearance and pass background checks, with second shifts and up to 10% travel. Based in the Norfolk, VA and Newport News, VA area, Serco offers benefits and opportunities to contribute to defense and sailor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Willing to work second shift and more than 40 hours weekly.
• Willing to travel up to 10% to different shipyards.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, lift and move supplies and materials.
• Act as fire watch and welders helper; install electric cable when needed.
• Work under immediate supervision.
• Primary job functions do not require independent judgment.
