Job summary

Hobart Service is seeking an entry-level Service/Repair Technician to provide on-site support for commercial food equipment at Hobart Service customers in New Jersey. The role includes installation, service, and maintenance of equipment with on-call and after-hours responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years of electrical/mechanical experience, and a willingness to learn. Some associates-degree holders are preferred; travel and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associates Degree or Vocational Certificate preferred.
• Experience in mechanical or electrical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs basic mechanical commercial food equipment and assists in more advanced installs as needed.
• Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs basic mechanical commercial food equipment for customers on contract and/or on time and material basis.
• Completes and documents preventative maintenance on basic mechanical commercial food equipment.
• Follows Hobart Service safety manuals and programs.
• Provides on-site support to Hobart Service customers including installation and/or service of equipment.
