Job summary

Hobart Service seeks an experienced Service Technician to provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial food equipment. The role requires diagnosing complex equipment issues, reading schematics, and delivering exceptional customer service on contract and time-and-material projects.

Applicants should have high school diploma or GED with 4-7 years of food equipment service and 2-4 years HVACR experience; EPA and CFESA/NATE/Hobart certifications are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 4-7 years of food equipment service experience and/or 2-4 years of HVACR service experience.
• Associates Degree or Vocational Certificate preferred.
• Industry certifications (CFESA/NATE/Hobart) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration commercial food equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment for customers on contract or T&M basis.
• Interpret and follow schematic diagrams; ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations related to combustion emissions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and document work performed.
