Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is hiring at our Baltimore donation centers to perform plasmapheresis, plasma processing, and donor support. You’ll ensure regulatory compliance, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and provide excellent donor service.

The role involves coordinating with teams to manage equipment, perform routine quality checks, and handle biohazardous waste in a fast-paced setting. Strong English, basic computer skills, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions, and manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operation complies with state and federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain high production standards.
  • Maintain high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
  • Keep work area clean and stocked to meet production demands.
  • Tend to donor center equipment per SOPs and manufacturer instructions.
  • Monitor donor safety, comfort, and plasma product quality.
  • Maintain donor confidentiality and complete accurate records.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform daily/monthly QCs on equipment.
  • Clean spills of blood/plasma and dispose of biohazardous waste properly.
  • Ensure donor eligibility per SOPs and perform finger stick for Microhematocrit and Total Protein.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis, disconnect donor after procedure.
  • Monitor safety and product quality during plasmapheresis and document anomalies.
  • Store and process plasma products per SOPs and regulations; prepare shipments.
  • Monitor temperatures and report equipment issues; record variance.
