Job summary

Responsibilities include greeting patients, processing prescriptions, assisting with inventory, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state regulations. Education required is a high school diploma; eligibility for state registration is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: 0 to 6 months preferred.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with compassion at entry points.
• Process prescriptions in person and by phone; refer questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to ensure department runs efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions and manage prescriptions.
