Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer service principles.
• Basic understanding of front-end revenue cycle and registration requirements.
• Skills in accurate data entry and attention to detail.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Computer applications to use medical databases competently.
• Ability to operate medical equipment (BP cuff, pulse ox, EKG).

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and staff by phone, email, or in person.
• Registers and pre-registers patients with accurate demographic and insurance info in the EHR.
• Performs patient check-in, collects co-pays, and ensures forms are completed.
• Monitors appointment confirmations and follows up on unconfirmed visits.
• Schedules, reschedules, and cancels appointments across service lines per protocol.
• Manages worklists and conducts outreach to support care team priorities.
• Escalates complex issues and protects patient confidentiality.
• Supports enrollment in the MySEARHC patient portal.
