Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Decatur, IL is seeking an entry-level RN for the Outpatient CAP 1 designation within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Under supervision, you will collect data, participate in planning and education, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe delivery of dialysis treatment, with opportunities to advance through CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under supervision and with guidance from Nursing leadership.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; documents in medical record.
• Educates patients and families about care and treatment options.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
• Administers medications per physician orders or approved algorithms.
• Participates in staff training and orientation; supports team workflow.
