Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to provide and coordinate clinically competent dialysis care for an assigned patient group.

Under supervision, you will collect patient data, adjust treatment plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective hemodialysis delivery and quality outcomes. Growth through CAP requirements is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure required.
• CPR BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for assigned patients during dialysis.
• Document data collection and adjust treatment plan as indicated.
• Educate patients and family on learning needs.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administer medications per protocol.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in quality improvement.
• Train and orient new staff as assigned.
• Ensure proper lab collection and handling.
• Communicate outcomes with Interdisciplinary Team.
• Discuss transplant and treatment modality options with patients.
