Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, conducting preliminary tests, and handling measurements. No optical experience needed—training and tools will be provided to learn the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience. Some weekend and evening shifts are required.

You will work under the Office General Manager and directly support doctors, ensuring a smooth patient journey and accurate documentation throughout visits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the optometrist.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during appointments.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
