Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by conducting preliminary tests and preparing patients for exams. No optical experience required; training will be provided to learn pretest procedures and vision screenings.

You will help manage patient flow, ensure comfort during screenings, and collaborate with the care team to deliver a best-in-class patient experience. Weekend/evening shifts are required at times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about optometry industry and procedures.
• Collaborative team player focused on patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for pre-exam prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment and perform visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training where applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors to deliver seamless patient care.
