Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry during patient visits, including preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience? Training will be provided to learn the industry and deliver a best-in-class experience.

Some weekend and evenings shifts are required. This role reports to the Office General Manager and directly supports our Doctors. The wage range for this position is $16.00 to $20.50 hourly, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with the ability to understand basic math.
• No optical experience needed; training will be provided.
• Personable, patient and capable of comforting patients during screening.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history to prep for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they will experience.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
