MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking a Collections Clerk to facilitate the collection of delinquent accounts by contacting customers and demanding overdue payments. This on-site role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional who can manage deadlines and maintain positive customer relationships.

Responsibilities include pursuing payments, updating account statuses, logging payment promises, and coordinating with overseas agents. Benefits and a strong team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar field (credit, accounts receivable, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail
• Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
• Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
• Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software

Responsibilities

• Requests and pursues payment on delinquent accounts via communication with account holder.
• Follows established guidelines to review and update account status.
• Maintains log of payment promises and pertinent account details, schedules follow-up communication with account holder.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers.
• Provides timely and accurate response to customer inquiries and to our overseas agents.
• Follows corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiries regarding shipments.
• Escalates unique or complex customer issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
• Generates potential solutions to customer issues.
• Provides feedback regarding current corporate practices and metrics to support process efficiencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
