TEKsystems in Raleigh, NC seeks a Level 1 Help Desk Technician to deliver first-line IT support. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software, resolve basic issues, and escalate complex cases as needed, with a focus on end-user satisfaction.

The role is contract-to-hire with hybrid work in Raleigh. 4-6 weeks of paid training, then schedules that may include Saturdays or Sundays. Starting pay is $15.50/hour, with eligibility for standard benefits upon conversion.

Qualifications

• Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or chat.
• Provide basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Utilize internal knowledge base to resolve common issues.
• Create, update and close tickets with accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve a high volume of initial IT support requests via phone, email, or chat.
• Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
• Escalate complex problems to higher-level teams as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
• Maintain and improve ticket documentation and status updates.
• Meet performance metrics such as call handling time and QA scores.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
