Job summary

Star Children's Dress Company is hiring an IT Help Desk Specialist I to provide on-site tech support at our Virginia Distribution Center. The role suits entry-level or early-career IT professionals who enjoy troubleshooting and working with users to build hands-on technical skills.

You will be the first contact for daily IT issues, supporting computers, printers, and software, while following security procedures and documenting problems and resolutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ,
• Basic knowledge of Windows computers and common hardware is expected.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong interest in information technology and troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical employees.
• On-site availability Monday through Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support requests at the Virginia Distribution Center.
• Troubleshoot basic computer hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
• Support Windows-based desktops and laptops.
• Assist employees with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Troubleshoot printers, scanners, label printers, monitors, keyboards, docking stations, and other peripheral equipment.
• Assist with basic network and Wi-Fi connectivity troubleshooting.
• Set up and configure computers, monitors, printers, and other equipment for new and existing employees.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including workstation setup and user access according to company procedures.
