Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Utility Technician in Midland, TX to support our facilities operations. This entry-level role performs routine maintenance, assists with basic troubleshooting, and learns across HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems while supporting safety protocols.

You will help with work orders in CMMS, coordinate with vendors, and participate in preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.
• 1–2 years of related facility maintenance experience.
• Current valid driver's license with clean record.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with CMMS.
• EPA certification or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Criminal background check and hair follicle drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety-first work environment and complete safety training.
• Learn and develop technical and mechanical skills through on-the-job training.
• Assist with troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of building systems.
• Support installation, modification, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Review and maintain work orders within CMMS.
• Replace and repair finishes such as ceiling tiles and door hardware.
• Inspect buildings for unsafe conditions and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate fire and life safety systems.
• Coordinate with outside contractors from sourcing to completion.
• Respond to emergencies and customer service requests.
