Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician III (HVAC) in Midland, TX. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing complex HVAC systems across commercial facilities to ensure reliability and uptime.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of hands-on HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong skills in controls, refrigeration circuits, and BAS. A safety-first mindset and proficiency with CMMS are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or technical/vocational training preferred.
• 5–10 years of hands-on commercial/industrial HVAC experience with deep troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience diagnosing root-cause failures in RTUs, split systems, VAV, heat pumps, and building automation controls.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and CMMS.
• Current EPA 608 certification; state license preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced HVAC inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and system optimization for commercial/industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in refrigeration, electrical components, controls, and airflow.
• Execute major repairs and component replacements (compressors, motors, coils, etc.).
• Use BAS to diagnose faults and improve performance; conduct preventive maintenance.
• Review and maintain CMMS work orders and equipment data.
