Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry‑level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This role offers recent graduates a chance to apply engineering skills to innovative water projects and grow within a dynamic team.

You will support design and construction activities, utilize tools like ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, and CADD, and participate in fieldwork across the project lifecycle. 10% travel or less is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of water and wastewater facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
• Ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with regulations.
• Conduct site assessments and perform water quality analyses and modeling.
• Contribute to technical reports and client presentations.
• Create documents/presentations using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, etc.
• Participate in fieldwork supporting construction management activities.
