Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry‑level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. You will support planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater facilities, working with experienced engineers to develop solutions that meet regulatory standards.

You will gain hands‑on experience across project lifecycles, using tools like ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, and CADD while developing your technical expertise in sustainable water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• 0 years of experience; travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site assessments, field investigations, and project studies.
• Assist with design development and adjust design parameters per project needs.
• Perform water quality analyses and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling.
• Prepare technical reports and client deliverables for meetings and conferences.
• Utilize ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel for project design and analysis.
• Coordinate office and field activities for regional rehab projects.
• Participate in fieldwork and construction management across the project lifecycle.
