Job summary

Axon is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer in Sterling, VA, with a hands-on mindset and a passion for building hardware. You will work with electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams to bring up boards, wire harnesses, and PCBs, while learning schematic capture and design ownership.

You’ll spend time at the bench and in the lab, conducting tests, collecting data, and supporting power and RF subsystems.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of professional experience; internships count.
• Hands-on electronics project you can explain.
• Proficient with soldering, cabling, and reading schematics.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and troubleshoot prototype electronics and PCBs.
• Design cable assemblies and wire harnesses with proper derating.
• Lay out boards from schematics and prepare fabrication packs.
• Perform hardware bring-up and functional testing with lab equipment.
• Document results, issues, and improvements clearly.
