Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction at Good Samaritan Hospital in Colorado. This position is ideal for recent graduates or those new to the field, offering part-time hours (30 per week) with 10-hour day shifts and on-call duties.

You will participate in education, mentor staff, coordinate exams, ensure patient safety, document results and apply correct charge codes.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule ultrasound exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by patient identification, education, and transport.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and other needed information.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
