Job summary

You must obtain ARDMS/RDMS registrations (abdomen, OB/GYN), ARRT VS, CCI/RVS, RDCS-AE/RCS within set timelines and BLS within 6 months; advanced sonography education required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in diagnostic sonography.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of general and vascular sonography standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular, and/or cardiac studies.
• Review medical records and physician orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select transducers and factors for optimal images.
• Identify and label images with patient info.
• Document billing codes and enter data into the radiology information system.
• Communicate findings to the physician.
