Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Ultrasound technologist to perform general, vascular and cardiac studies with on-site duties in the Ultrasound department. You will review orders, prepare patients, and acquire high-quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires ARDMS registrations within 3 months (abdomen, OB/GYN, etc.) or as determined by leadership, and Basic Life Support certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Advanced radiologic sonography training beyond high school.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Review medical records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select transducers and factors for quality images.
• Identify and label images with patient details and location.
• Document findings and enter data into radiology information systems.
