This role requires ARDMS/ARRT eligibility, adherence to safety protocols, and strong teamwork with clinicians to interpret findings and document procedures in the radiology system. The position emphasizes precise labeling, records management, and collaboration with physicians to optimize patient care.

Competenze

• Completion of an accredited sonography program.
• Competency in general/vascular sonography.
• Ability to communicate with patients and caregivers.

Mansioni

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Differentiate between normal and pathologic findings in images.
• Review patient history and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Label images with patient name, MRU number, and position of scan.
• Enter study information and billing codes in the RIS.
• Identify equipment issues and communicate with staff for new products evaluation.
• Synthesize findings and communicate results to the physician.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient’s age and developmental stage as per department policies.
