GCI is seeking a Desktop Technician I to provide local and remote support for desktop hardware, software, and operating systems across the company. You will design, test, and implement IT solutions while following established procedures and contributing to a reliable user experience.

This entry-level role requires the ability to troubleshoot, communicate effectively with customers, and work under close supervision while growing your IT expertise and certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two years of technical customer support experience.
• Preferred: Associate degree in IT/CS/communications/electronics or related.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
• Experience imaging and deploying desktops and devices is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop hardware, software, and OS support for local and remote employees and contractors.
• Image and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for new hires and repairs.
• Update Tier II tickets in Cherwell and JIRA with root cause and resolution details.
• Troubleshoot Windows and Mac OS, networks, printers, and IP phones.
• Maintain Desktop Services SOPs and update knowledge bases.
