Job summary

Custom Computer Specialists is hiring a Level 1 Desktop Support Technician to provide deskside support and address IT needs for a school environment. You will collaborate with district IT staff, CCS team members, and vendors to resolve tickets and keep systems running smoothly.

The role emphasizes quick ticket response, support for Windows workstations and Chromebooks, and hands-on troubleshooting. At CCS, we value growth and a culture of collaboration in the northeast.

Qualifications

• A+ certification or equivalent industry certification.
• 1–2 years’ experience in hardware and software support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows OS, networking, wired/wireless.
• Experience with Chromebooks and device imaging.
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, print queues, and file shares.

Responsibilities

• Address tickets promptly and close them in the ticketing system.
• Support staff and educational needs in school buildings.
• Prioritize daily activities including tickets and admin requests.
• Support Windows workstations and Chromebooks.
• Troubleshoot laptops/desktops, reimage or update tickets for repair.
• Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners, interactive boards in an enterprise environment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
