Job summary

Custom Computer Specialists is a growing IT company focused on making technology easy to use for schools and businesses in the Northeast. We seek a Level 1 Desktop Support Technician to respond to deskside tickets, assist with imaging and peripheral setup, and collaborate with district IT staff and vendors to ensure reliable Windows and Chromebook support.

You will help resolve issues quickly, prioritize requests, and ensure user readiness across multiple classroom and office environments.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in hardware and software support.
• A+ certification and strong imaging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking, wired and Wi‑Fi.
• Experience with Chromebooks and PC imaging.

Responsibilities

• Actively address tickets in the system, update, and close tickets.
• Support the staff and educational needs of a school building(s).
• Prioritize daily activities including tickets and administrative requests.
• Support Windows workstations and Chromebooks.
• Troubleshoot laptops and desktops, image or update for repair.
• Install and troubleshoot peripherals like printers, scanners and interactive boards in an enterprise environment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
