Job summary

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department seeks an entry-level to routine food preparer for the Black Bear Restaurant at Indian Lodge in Fort Davis, TX. You will cook menu items, maintain cleanliness, and monitor inventory while following established procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities include daily reports, possible cross-area assistance, and adherence to TPWD safety standards. Requires basic education and some kitchen experience; state-driver license and Food Handler Certification may be

Qualifications

• Completion of 8th grade is required.
• Graduation from High School or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooks food menu items when orders are received.
• Cleans kitchen, walk-ins and work areas.
• Studies cooking and kitchen operations to identify improvements and makes recommendations.
• Reports kitchen equipment in need of repair or replacement.
• Maintains inventory and prepares requisitions for needed items.
• Completes daily reports.
• May assist in housekeeping, maintenance or groundskeeping.
• Follows supervision and procedures.
