Job summary

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is seeking a senior-level maintenance technician to oversee complex maintenance, repairs and preventative care for the Davis Mountains State Park-Indian Lodge Complex. Responsibilities include plumbing, HVAC, electrical work and grounds maintenance with safety and compliance oversight.

The role requires 4 years of related experience, a HS diploma or GED, and licenses (CPO and driver). Travel and on-call duties are possible as part of the 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

Graduation from High School or GED.
Four years of facility, equipment or grounds maintenance experience.
Preferred: trade school certification in HVAC/plumbing/electrical or related field.
Experience with maintenance of historic structures and public-facing roles.

Responsibilities

Perform highly complex maintenance and repairs in plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC and mechanical systems.
Assist in planning, performing and completing work projects for park facilities and lodge.
Maintain water and septic systems; troubleshoot electrical and grounds maintenance tasks.
Prepare periodic reports and assist with purchasing, inventory and safety programs.
