Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Memphis is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician. No prior experience is required, as you will learn under experienced staff to safely perform tasks on site.

Starting pay is $21 per hour, with paid training and certification fees covered. You will conduct field sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete, under guidance from senior technicians and project managers.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and operate site equipment.

Responsibilities

• Field activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests following standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with documentation.
• Maintain communication with contractors, technicians, and managers.
