Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a Field Technician with no prior experience. You’ll learn on the job under experienced staff, performing field and laboratory tests on soils, aggregates, and concrete, and progressing toward industry certifications.

Qualifications

No experience required; training provided.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM lab standards leading to certifications.
OSHA 10 certification may be required.
Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).

Responsibilities

Field Activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at construction materials testing sites under guidance.
Perform routine field tests and/or laboratory tests using standard methods and equipment.
Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting and administrative duties as requested.
Maintain communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changes to supervisor.
