Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in the United States. This entry-level role offers guided training, with opportunities to learn testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction sites.

You will work under experienced professionals, perform field tests, collect data, and communicate with project teams. OSHA 10 certification may be required as you advance your CMT qualifications.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work with contractors, peers, and supervisors.
• Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and applications.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites under guidance.
• Perform routine field/lab tests using methodologies and equipment per industry standards.
• Collect data and perform calculations; assist with drafting and admin tasks as requested.
• Communicate daily with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report site changes.
